Cold That Won't Go Away.

As it happens, there is a spectacularly simple cold cure for a colds that just won't go away. My gran told me this yeeeeeears ago but it's one of those little things that once you've heard it, you'll never forget it.

Quite simply, to handle the dreaded cold virus, get one half cup of white vinegar (has to be white vinegar) and pour it into a bowl. Next, boil a kettle and measure out one cup of boiling water. Add this to the bowl also and give it a quick stir to get the steam rising.

Once you're satisfied that you're getting a reasonable amount of steam coming out of the potion, inhale as much of it as you can through your nose without choking on the acidity of the vinegar, which isn't the easiest thing to do but it helps if you have a towel over your head and bowl so you don't waste any of the fumes and can inhale a little slower without your nose melting.

The madness behind the method is simple too. The cold virus lives in the nasal passages and up into your ear canals and the acidity of the vinegar fumes wipes it out - fast. It's basically poison gas to the virus which doesn't survive long after such an onslaught so repeat 2 or 3 times throughout your day and you should feel much better by the morning.

Note: although this method works well when a cold already has a good grip on you, it's always better to do it if you ever feel a spell coming on this way you can avoid it altogether.
