I never thought i would achieve sales of over £148 in my first two campaigns so i was amazed to get orders of over £200 on each one!

I was looking forward to receiving my bumper sample selection as it had advertised in my pack.
I then got the email which said I was a Smart Start Level 2 Achiever! and would get free Mixed Samples. Great.

When it arrived i was really disappointed with the samples. There was a couple of samples of Anew day cream, eye cream and perfumes and what seemed to be old lines of lippy. Does that sound right? I wouldn't have called it a bumper sample selection!
I don't know what i'd have got if I only got orders of £80.
I thought Avon would be a bit more generous with their samples??

That doesn't sound a lot. I only got the smaller reward on my first two campaigns but I got around 8 foundation samples and 8 lipstick samples.

But no they aren't too generous with their freebies

That is the same as what i got and like you, i was really disappointed! Not very much of a incentive is it!

I agree ladies, I too was disappointed with my first campaign samples, I was only a rep for a week before my order went in so was really excited when I made MOV, but like you when I received my FREE samples I was extremely disappointed and thought maybe it would get better once I hit HOV, which I have just done on my second campaign extremely proud of myself, but not holding out too much hope on the sample front.

Although I like tihs creative ordering which a few of the other reps have introduced me to and am starting to build up quite a nice little collection of demos, all of my own without any help from Avon. hehe

I thought my samples were ok, I wish there had been more of the skincare and less of the men's cologne. My gripe really is about the perfume samples. You can't tear the singles off the 5 packs so you end up having to pop the vial out of the blister. The writing is too small to read easily. WIthout somesort of marketing card how can the customer easily see what I've given them. Plus they easily get lost in a bag of products. It's very annoying also when trying to sort out which ones to give to what customer. Not a very good way to market perfume.

You have to get your scissors out and cut along between the samples!! Yes it is a nuisance, but I found it easier to stick them onto my card promoting it if I left it in the blister pack.

i honestly can't remember what my first sales were and if i got anything! I do think they are quite tight with the samples, we should get more free ones. they don't do this that often yet they send a birthday card and gift, an anniversary gift and a C5 gift! nice touch but often something i don't want haha! x

whats a c5 gift? thanks.

i mean the gift/incentive in campaign 5-with brochure 5 order. i think it was if you had 3 orders just after xmas in a row over a certain amount! Just an incentive to order at a bad time in jan + feb x

The 'free samples' were a bit rubbish but i ordered the sample pack - it was £20 and i paid over 2 campaigns - it got me some really good sales - i really would recommend samples and the free ones just bumped up my selection. I've put a flier in the next lot of brochures saying that if customers would like to try before buying i'll see if i can get them a sample of their choice. (I put a limit of 1 per customer per campaign)
