I found that the follow items are worth selling on ebay if you can pick them up cheap at bootsales or charity shops, or you already have them in your possesion:-

Maternity Clothes
Me to You Bears
Some childrens toys (Especially those that america doesn't sell)
Avon products (Ungaro is apparently really expensive but populair in London!)

I have been selling items on ebay for over a year now.
I started with things around the home like novels, crockery even chocolates !
I also sell new Acoustic Guitars in a starter pack. They retail for £32 including postage.
I also started going to library sales and selling the books through ebay. One of my books went for over £12 plus postage, but that is probably because the book was very rare.

I also buy 2nd hand books and occasionally blankets for my dog.

Its just another way to shop and I quite enjoy it.

This could be a great thread I'm going to make it a sticky x Ebay is full of opportunities, it's definitely worth sharing any tips

I am currently selling a brand new acoustic guitar starter pack. Also selling 2x 2nd hand books, Hamish Macbeth mysteries, excellent read, very light and funny.

these sound quite good things to sell! I tried seeling maternity clothes on ebay (from when i was pregnant) some things werent even used!! and i got next to nothing for them! also i had a load of avon items (new) laying about the house and it was over the 90 day period so couldnt send back, it was worth over £200 full price and cant remember how much at the prices i bought them, i got £7 for it all (i find no-one was interested when put them up singly)

I think it's hit or miss with some of the stuff and people do tend to expect a bargain but that being a good point, I started looking at buying from Ebay and selling locally to my current Avon customers as well as behind the counter impulse buys at our diner x Not everyone has the Internet yet

I was considering trying to help sell some of my partners Avon items on Ebay, or even getting some good selling items to sell on myself for next to nothing - Alot seem to sell for £0.99 ??

- With over 20,000 results from a quick search there is definately alot of potential.

i make and sell personalised kids placemats and door signs i sell them on ebay and carboot sales and make quite alot of money, i sell them for £2.50 each or 3 for £6, I make them with all kids favourite charactors from pepper pig to harry potter, I take orders and can make them with any picture they like. they usually just tell me what there kids are into and then ill email them some examples and they decide which 1 they like best.

I personalise them with any text they like, the most popular are the placemats as ive found alot of mums have found that they can get there kids to sit at the dinner table alot easier with them. they usually have somethin along the lines of EMMAS DINNER or JACK'S DINNER DO NOT TOUCH/ SOPHIE SITS HERE.

I find this a great little money maker as people always love to be able to help design there own stuff for there kids.
